Associate Vice President - Business Development
Summary of Position
Falvey Insurance Group (FIG) is seeking a dynamic and results-orientated Associate Vice President – Business Development to join our Business Development & Markets team. This candidate will be responsible for driving growth, revenue and building partnerships within the Maritime Insurance industry.
Position Functions
The position will be responsible for the following:
MGA:
- Maintain, strengthen, and develop Falvey’s relationships across distribution channels
- Work to build out distribution network for FIG Business Units
- Manage production and sales across all Falvey companies to reach company goals
- Work with Internal & External Practice Groups on set targets
- Develop Cross-Selling Opportunities within FIG companies, Develop & Track Cross-Selling Incentives
- Work with FIG Operations to review Data & Analytics, DOMO, Sales Platform
- Collaborate with Marketing to establish new techniques, broker presentations, marketing materials, NPS, and surveys
- Track & Develop new broker offices
Brokerage:
- Build out Distribution Network
- Find complementary business to package with Binding Programs
- Set up Internal and External sale training with producers and underwriters on new products
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The candidate should be customer service oriented, demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to share knowledge and work effectively in a team environment with all levels of company staff; strong mathematical skills, strong time management and organizational skills; and analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently in a fast-paced office environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Adobe, spreadsheet software, and general computer skills are required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 3+ Years in a sales with proven track record of success in sales leadership roles.
- Understanding of marine insurance products, underwriting processes, or risk management is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit and work quietly, operate a computer, and communicate on a telephone.
