Summary of Position 

Falvey Insurance Group (FIG), a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is actively seeking a Risk Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic Risk Intelligence team. This role is ideal for a curious and creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.  

As a Risk Intelligence Analyst at FIG, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to deliver innovative risk management solutions. You will have the opportunity to utilize your analytical skills to mitigate risks and improve the efficiency of our international transportation, shipping, and logistics services.  

Position Functions 

We value resourcefulness and ingenuity in our team members. Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Excel, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software will be advantageous. Your ability to integrate new analysis and methodologies into our existing framework will be instrumental to your success. 

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze data to assist with predictive analytics and other special projects. 
  • Trend Identification: Maintain awareness of current events and effectively collect, read, and comprehend both structured and unstructured data to identify trends and potential risks. 
  • Communication: Simplify complex concepts and communicate analytical findings clearly to internal stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across various departments to integrate insights and support the development of comprehensive risk reports. 

This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Exceptional organizational skills, quick adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning and development. 
  • Proficiency in multitasking, mathematical models and scientific methods and techniques to support data analysis and risk assessment activities.
  • Proficient in Excel, with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • A working understanding of data and databases (Experience with Business Intelligence software a plus)
  • Familiarity with GIS software, 3D Modeling, Digital Visualization, and programing language (Python, R, SQL, etc.) a plus
  • Effective problem-solving techniques and attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated interest in risk management and a willingness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices. 

Experience 

3+ years of work in related fields such as risk management, data analysis, finance, research, or consulting. 

Physical Requirements 

Must be able to sit and operate a computer; answer and communicate on a telephone; operate a copy machine.

Computer, telephone, calculator, copy machine, and scanner. 

Hours of Operation and Working Conditions 

The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a high-paced, business-casual office environment. Our hybrid environment is three days in the office, with Wednesday and Thursday required. The option for remote work will be available for two days per week on Monday and Friday.
